Two Events at Sudbury’s Wordstock

On Friday, November 4 from 1-2:30 p.m., I will be leading a masterclass called Writing Our Lived Experience at Sudbury’s phenomenal Wordstock Literary Festival. This hybrid event will take place in person, and it will be livestreamed for folks to join in from afar! Click here for tickets.

A masterclass that will focus on creative techniques for writing true stories about our recovery journeys. Kathy Friedman, author, editor and creative writing instructor will lead participants through writing exercises to develop your voice and identify the literary techniques available for writing about mental health and addiction issues in a welcoming, supportive environment.

On Saturday, November 5 from 1-2 p.m., I will be in conversation with Alex Tétrault and one of my literary heroes, Casey Plett, about the short story form at Wordstock Literary Festival.
